At the recent Truckload Carriers Assn. meeting, McLeod Software released the 6.0 version of its LoadMaster transportation management program.

The revised software incorporates more than 30 enhancements, including a Driver Management feature that allows fleet managers and dispatchers to quickly view driver requests for days off, home times, and scheduled events as well as other information.

LoadMaster also now boasts a "drill-down" feature, meaning accounting personnel can access source documents, including driver settlements, billing, and general ledger accounts.

A more powerful Lane Analysis feature provides information needed to evaluate the profitability of certain lanes, customers, and shippers. McLeod says this flexible reporting system allows users to establish key analysis reports, define selections, and sort options.

McLeod also announced it is offering a low-cost means of sending and receiving Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) information via the Internet-LoadMaster WebEDI server.

Improved integration of LoadMaster's Internet module also offers carriers access to two new Internet-enabled features: state-of-the-art imaging and online rate quoting.
