Tripmaster Corp. says it will co-develop the next generation of its onboard computer software products with FleetMind Solutions of Montreal, Que., the maker of FleetLink onboard computers for the for-hire and refuse markets. With over 1,000 trailers in its fleet, Caldwell Freight Lines says it will outfit the majority of them with the GE VeriWise asset tracking system. Another subsidiary of Caldwell's parent CF Holding Co., Foothills Trucking Co. has also agreed to install the system in its entire fleet of 300 trailers. Both Caldwell and Foothills specialize in JIT less-than-truckload retail furniture delivery.
Developed for smaller fleets, Centerline TMS Lite provides dispatch, billing, rating, invoicing and a full integrated accounting system, according to developer Accord Software Inc. The small-fleet version is intended for operations with 10 or fewer users. www.accord.ca
With over 700 tractors in its North American truckload operations, Tango Transport Inc. has deployed the Expert Fuel optimization program from Integrated Decisions Support Corp. The fleet will also add Integrated's OOR/ETA (Out-of-Route/Estimated Time of Arrival) Alert module to automatically determine if drivers go out-of-route or are likely to miss a scheduled arrival time.
