20/20 Delivery from Aether Systems Inc. offers a real-time logistics application for package delivery operations, using handheld PDAs to gather field information for package vehicle tracking, driver management and wireless communications. Aether has also announced that Corporate Express, a supplier of office products that will fit its entire fleet of 1,600 delivery vehicles with the new tracking and management system.
Based on Aether's Fusion platform, the new application can deliver the captured information to a wide variety of legacy back-end data systems. Available for both Pocket PC and Palm OS handhelds, 20/20 Delivery can be use with real-time wireless networks, end-of-shift synchronization cradles, or a combination of both data transfer methods.
