The latest release of ALK Technologies' fleet tracking software automatically alerts dispatchers if vehicles leave planned routes. ALK's FleetCommander 3.1 can also be integrated with most mobile communications and fleet management packages, including those from Qualcomm, Aether Systems, TMW Systems, McLeod Software and Innovative Computing.
Embedded with the company's PC*Miler/Streets16 routing software, FleetCommander offers map-based views of vehicle locations, routes, load status and mileages, providing managers with exception reports for empty miles, out-of-route miles, late arrivals and other performance data.
The new release also includes Comdata's GeoFuel to help dispatchers direct drivers to nearby fuel/service locations with turn-by-turn directions.
