XATA adds wireless service

Under a reseller agreement, XATA Corp. is now directly offering wireless data communications service along with its onboard computer products. Formerly known as Bell South Wireless, Cingular provides Mobitex-based packet-switched wireless data service over a national network.

The new agreement allows XATA to package custom-tailored usage plans with hardware and software in a single contract. Currently, the company's customers (?) operate approximately 1,000 wireless units on the Cingular network. Go to www.xata.com or circle 312 on reply card
