Truckstop distributor names CEO

Charles A. Sciandra has been named CEO of Barjan, LLC, a leading distributor of consumer products to truckstops and travel centers

Charles A. Sciandra has been named CEO of Barjan, LLC, a leading distributor of consumer products to truckstops and travel centers. He replaces current CEO Mark Essig, who will remain a member of the company’s board of directors.

Sciandra previously was president & CEO of Pitco Foods, a wholesale food distributor to retail and food service operators, and has 30 years of distribution industry experience, the company said.

According to the company, Barjan recently signed long-term agreements with Travel Centers of America to supply goods to both TA and Petro travel centers.
