Building K-Whoppers since '74

Kenworth Truck Co.'s manufacturing plant in Chillicothe, OH, recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. The largest KW plant has produced more than 325,000 trucks since it opened in 1974 and currently produces the OEM's T660, T800, T2000, W900 and C500 models. The facility also went live with a new automated paint system, making it the first plant owned by Kenworth's parent, Paccar, to have four paint robots in one booth, which allows two major components to be painted at one time.

The company also opened a new Paccar Technology Center at Chillicothe this year, providing visitors with insight into Paccar's technological developments plus Kenworth's truck products and support services.
