Cadec Global has announced the promotion of Heimir Sverrisson, formerly vp of technology, to the newly created post of chief architect. He will be in charge of product strategy and direction for Cadec’s fleet management platform, the company said.
"Heimir has had a tremendous impact on Cadec's growth and success in the last year as he took on an active role in driving product direction,” said Michael Baney, CEO of Cadec. "As chief architect, he will have greater reign over long-term product strategy, and will also work closely with Cadec's customers to ensure that our roadmap continues to meet their needs in the future. We're very fortunate to have Heimir as part of our senior management team.”
Sverrisson was a key developer of PowerVue, Cadec’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-based fleet management solution. He joined the company in 2006 from Reykjavik University (RU), where he was assistant professor in computer science.
