Schluter as the council’s first chair and vice chair, respectively, for 2008. The council was created to support the interests of the trucking industry’s information technology and logistics professionals.

Vick is the senior vp of corporate planning and development for Southeastern Freight Lines. Schluter is vp of information solutions for YRC Worldwide. Their appointments were announced at the group’s Nov. 19 board meeting.

“Our vision is to provide a venue to discuss and learn leading-edge solutions to solve the technical and process problems facing the trucking and logistics industry,” said Vick. “Our focus will be on providing our members with information they can take back and put into practice,”

“The ITLC can be a great organization for standards and professional development for the motor carrier industry, and I am looking forward to helping develop it to its full potential,” said Schluter.
