The Loss Prevention Conference (LPC), a transportation association dedicated to educating members on freight loss and damage prevention, has announced it will no longer operate as a member-based organization.

In response, SMC³ will offer an annual loss prevention conference event, to begin this October in Atlanta. The company said it will soon announce confirmed dates, speakers and agenda for the conference.

“The integration of the LPC’s educational mission with SMC³’s organizational principles provides a win-win relationship that all freight claims professionals will clearly benefit from,” said A. J. Mitchell, Southeastern regional manager for MTI Inspection Services and outgoing LPC president.
