Carlisle’s Motion Control division has announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Brake Resources Inc. (BRI)

Carlisle’s Motion Control division has announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Brake Resources Inc. (BRI), under which Motion Control will consolidate its Pittsburg, KS-based Altec brake shoe remanufacturing division into BRI’s St. Louis-area facility.

Under the agreement, all current Altec equipment and technology will be moved from Pittsburg to BRI’s facility. All Altec customer service functions will continue to be handled in Charlottesville, VA. The move will be complete within a few months without any product or service delays, the company said.

“Entering into this partnership combines BRI’s 50 years of brake shoe remanufacture experience with the Altec heavy-duty technology to expand our current brake shoe remanufacturing capacity, while providing superior service for the US market from a location along major freight routes" said Joe LaVarra, division president for Motion Control.
