Networkcar has appointed Joshua Haims vp of finance. In this role, Haims will direct the company’s financial activities and shape long-term strategy, the company said.

Haims had previously worked at companies including IBM, Bloomingdales, KPMG Peat Marwick, Global Centric Networks and Slopecycle, Networkcar said, managing SOX implementation and compliance, SEC reporting, capital acquisitions, capital management, financial planning and analysis, product development and strategic business development.

Networkcar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hughes Telematics, provides wireless in-vehicle technology combining remote diagnostic systems with GPS-based Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technology.
