The award, which is only given out when the Trucking Assns.’ Executive Council (TAEC) deems a person worthy, is named after former American Trucking Assns. (ATA) senior vice president for federation relations Bob Halladay. It recognizes individuals for outstanding service in support of the 50 state trucking associations.

“I am humbled to be recognized with such a prestigious award,” Brewster said. “I consider working with the state trucking associations one of the great privileges of my career.”

Brewster received the award at the TAEC Annual Meeting, held July 17-21 in Bedford Springs, PA. Jim Runk, outgoing TAEC national chair and president & CEO of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Assn., presented her with the honor.

“I can think of no one in this industry who deserves the honor more than Rebecca Brewster, because she epitomizes the work ethic of J.R. ‘Bob’ Hallady and has made outstanding contributions to assist and support the work and efforts of the state trucking associations,” said Runk. “She has also demonstrated a special acknowledgement of the important role state trucking associations play in the ATA Federation.”
