Diesel prices fall again
Average diesel prices in the U.S. have fallen to $4.65 per gallon for the week of June 23, a four cent decrease from the previous week and down seven cents from its peak of $4.72 recorded on May 26th, according to data provided by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The $4.65 average is 64% higher than a year ago this week, when prices averaged $2.84, and is $0.51 higher than it was two months ago.
The most expensive regions are in New England and the Central Atlantic, where diesel averaged $4.83. The least expensive region is the Midwest, where the average is $4.57 per gallon.
