Several executives are moving up to new positions at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as a result of the firm’s restructuring of its North American operations.
Charles “Chuck” Mick is being promoted to the newly created position of vp & gm, North American holdings and integration. Mick is responsible for the company’s Canadian tire business and its interests in Tire & Wheel Assembly (T&WA). He is also responsible for leading the integration of Goodyear’s North American shared services activities in support of the company’s strategic efforts to drive additional cost savings.
Joseph Copeland, former CEO of Goodyear’s South Pacific Tyre business in Australia, takes over Mick’s previous job as vp & gm of the company’s global off-highway tire business, with responsibility for worldwide off-the-road, aviation and race tire business units.
Judith Swales becomes managing director & CEO of the South Pacific Tyres operation, replacing Copeland.
