Satoru Takeuchi is poised to become president of truck maker Nissan Diesel, as current president Iwao Nakamura plans to retire in midyear 2007.

As Sweden’s global truck maker Volvo Group owns a majority stake in Nissan Diesel, Takeuchi will also replace Nakamura as a member of Volvo’s executive committee.
