Stemco taps Reis to lead Brake Products Group

Stemco has promoted Jim Reis to the position of vp &gm of its Brake Products Group, effective in January. Reis, currently vp of new business development, joined the company in 1985. He will be responsible for the Duroline product group as well as any additional products launched within the newly formed Brake Products Group.

“Appointing a dedicated, experienced resource for the Stemco Brake Products Group will serve us well as we focus on expanding our focus in the brake category,” said Jon Cox, Stemco president. “Jim has extensive experience at Stemco, and his leadership will be a key factor in strengthening our product mix in brakes as well as expanding our geographic reach. Jim will be responsible for establishing a team of brake experts focused on foundation brake training, vehicle safety, product development and world class manufacturing.”

The company also announced that Jeff Pond has joined the Brake Products Group as regional manager for Duroline, responsible for sales in the northeast region of the U.S. and Canada. In addition, Alan Matsumoto has joined the group as technical service manager.
