The Truckload Carrier’s Assn. is asking members and everyone in the trucking industry to support trucking’s image by linking to a new “Highway Angel” music video by Lindsay Lawler that is now live on YouTube.
“People ask us all the time how they can help change our image. Well, here are two ways: watch the video at www.youtube.com/highwayangelvideo and forward the link to everyone you know,” said Dennis Dellinger and Steve Sichterman, co-chairmen of TCA Communications & Image Policy Committee, in a letter to TCA members.
YouTube tracks how many times the video has been viewed,” the letter stated. “As its popularity grows, so does the likelihood that the media and the Country music industry will take notice, resulting in even greater exposure for the song, Lindsay Lawler, the Highway Angel program, and the trucking industry.”
“Watching and sharing the video are quick and effective ways for you to get involved in improving our image,” the letter added. “And perhaps best of all: these actions do not cost anything. The time to act is now.”
