Sheila Hewitt has been promoted to vp by Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions.
Hewitt will have responsibility for the sales and operations of the 3PL’s ocean and air forwarding business.
“Not only has Transplace established itself as a leader in ocean and air forwarding in a very difficult market, but it continues to strategically differentiate itself as a top tier third-party logistics and technology provider,” said Hewitt. “I am thrilled to take on the additional responsibility and look forward to driving continued success of Transplace International in 2010 and beyond.”
Previous to joining Transplace in January 2009, Hewitt was senior director of international sales for APL and director of international sales for G-Log. She also has experience with Descartes on the technology side and DSL Transportation Services.
