Vipar taps Meritor’s logistics operation

Vipar Heavy Duty has reached agreement with Meritor Aftermarket Services to utilize Meritor’s logistics operation to help Vipar’s suppliers take advantage of cost-saving 3PL services.

Vipar Heavy Duty has reached agreement with Meritor Aftermarket Services to utilize Meritor’s logistics operation to help Vipar’s suppliers take advantage of cost-saving 3PL services.

“Our supplier partners are looking for profitable growth, new market opportunities, and improved efficiencies,” said Chris Baer, vice president, Vipar Heavy Duty. “We are excited to team up with Meritor Aftermarket Services. Our partnership allows us to address these needs and offer a new level of supplier solutions as well as globalize our business model. Relationship innovation will drive our success in the future.”

Meritor Aftermarket Services offers logistics including packaging and kiting, material planning, warehousing, distribution, remanufacturing, customer support and consulting services. Under terms of the agreement, Vipar’s suppliers will have the opportunity to outsource part or all of their supply chain management functions.

Meritor has distribution centers in China, India, Australia, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Mexico, and Brazil in addition to facilities in the U.S. and Canada.
