The National Private Truck Council’s (NPTC) 2009 Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition, which will be held May 3-5, 2009 in Nashville, will feature keynote speakers addressing issues important to the industry, two general sessions focusing on fuel management strategies and 22 educational workshops.
Speakers include Major General Keith Thurgood, CTP, Commanding General of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, who will honor the latest graduates of the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) program; Dan Baker, a speaker, teacher and consultant to the trucking industry who will welcome the 2009 Driver Hall of Fame inductees; and Chris Sultemeier, senior vp of corporate transportation services for Wal-Mart.
“There is little doubt that we are entering uncharted economic and business waters,” said Ralph Benson, president of Sentinel Transportation and chairman of the NPTC Conference Planning Committee. “Private fleet professionals must call upon all resources in their search for new ideas and programs that deliver the greatest value to their fleet operations.”
The conference will also include a showcase of fleet products and services from industry suppliers and many networking opportunities for attendees.
