A. Duie Pyle has been accepted into the American Chemical Council’s (ACC) Responsible Care Partnership Program, a global initiative for managing chemical safety. The program is mandatory for members of the ACC but members of the supply chain can apply for acceptance to the program.

"While we already had outstanding safety processes in place, we felt that becoming a Responsible Care Partner was the right thing to do,” said Steve O'Kane, president of A. Duie Pyle. “It further demonstrates our commitment to chemical industry manufacturers, our neighbors, our drivers and the people in the communities where our trucks are traveling."

To become a Responsible Care Partner, two ACC member companies must sponsor the company for acceptance. The company then must provide detailed documentation of its safety record and submit to site inspections before being approved by the Responsible Care Council, consisting of members of the chemical industry and the ACC Board of Directors. Once accepted, the company will need to meet ongoing safety and security standards.
