Roadrunner Transportation Services (RRTS) is making what it terms “brand identity changes” to reflect the addition of new services, as well as growth in its terminal network.
Formerly known as Roadrunner Dawes Freight Systems, RRTS is adopting a new tagline– “Adaptability. Reliability” – to better exemplify its business model, the company said: a model centered on consistent on-time performance, industry-low claims ratios and the empowerment of employees at the local terminal level to exceed client expectations.
“Since the merger of Roadrunner Freight and Dawes Transport three years ago, the company has made significant operational changes,” said Mark DiBlasi, the president & CEO of RRTS. “Through a series of acquisitions and strategic alliances, as well as organic growth, we’ve become competitive as a full-service transportation solutions provider.”
In 2005, Thayer / Hidden Creek, a Washington, D.C.-based private equity investor, purchased Roadrunner Freight Systems and Dawes Transport, combining the two trucking companies. The privately held carrier provides outbound services – TL, LTL, expedited, third party logistics, and specialized services – throughout the U.S. and Canada from 18 terminals located around the country with full-state delivery capabilities.
