"A skilled technician is one of the cornerstones of a successful, safe, and effective maintenance program,” said John Flad, vp of North American Aftermarket Sales for Bendix. “The Technician of the Year Award is a new and exciting way to recognize the true value and dedication of these talented professionals to fleets across North America. “

Fleet managers can nominate a technician by visiting the Technician of the Year website or through links on each of the five sponsor company web sites until December 1st. A panel of independent judges will select a winner, who will be announced at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), January 21 to 24, 2008 in Las Vegas. The winner will receive a VIP trip to the conference and be honored at a reception.
