The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has elected Tom Formanek treasurer and Michael Berra, Jr. secretary of its board of directors. Both men will assume their new roles effective November 3, 2008.
Formanek is manager of tire service products for Garner, IA-based Stellar Industries. He has been a TIA board member since 2002, and also has been a Tire Association of North America (TANA) and National Tire Dealer & Retreader Association (NTDRA) board member since 1992.
Berra is vp of Maryland Heights, MO-based Community Tire Retreading, and is currently president of the Tire Retread & Information Bureau (TRIB). He has been a TIA board member since 2002, and has served on the both the board and advisory committee of the International Tire & Rubber Association (ITRA).
