TRALA elects Anderson to board

The Truck Renting and Leasing Assn. (TRALA) has announced that Scott Anderson, Rush Enterprises senior vp of finance, insurance, and leasing, has been unanimously elected to serve on TRALA’s board of directors

The Truck Renting and Leasing Assn. (TRALA) has announced that Scott Anderson, Rush Enterprises senior vp of finance, insurance, and leasing, has been unanimously elected to serve on TRALA’s board of directors.

"TRALA's leadership is very pleased to have an individual with such an extensive industry resume join our Board of Directors in setting policy to help guide the industry's future. Scott's proven leadership skills and management experience, together with his financial background will be a tremendous asset," said TRALA president & CEO Peter Vroom. "We're confident that Scott's knowledge in these areas will immediately help to advance TRALA's work in priority areas including liability reform, the federal and state tax treatment of vehicle renting and leasing, recently proposed changes in lease accounting standards and very importantly, in the critical area of security preparedness."

Anderson leads Rush’s Truck Financing, Truck Leasing, and ATIS Truck Insurance affiliates. He joined the company in 2005 as vp of finance and insurance before being promoted in 2006.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on TRALA's Board," said Anderson. "I look forward to actively participating in TRALA meetings and in its governance and I hope to advance the interests of our industry in this new role.”
