The new president of the Used Truck Association (UTA) is Marty Crawford, a sales representative with the Atlanta, GA, branch of Arrow Truck Sales. Elected during the UTA’s recent Ninth Annual Convention in Reno, Crawford said he hopes to continue building on the association’s positive image.
“The role of UTA is not only to spread the word about the importance of used trucks within the transportation industry, but also to portray a positive image of the industry as a whole,” he said. “The UTA also plays an important educational role for its members – such as offering programs designed to teach the basics of used truck sales to those just entering the business, as well as more advanced programs directed to used truck managers.”
“We are honored to have one of our employees as president of UTA,” noted Carl Heikel, president & CEO of Arrow Truck Sales. “Jerry Nerman, founder of Arrow, was a co-founder of the UTA, so it seems quite appropriate to have Marty appointed to this position.”
