LTL carrier USF Holland is upgrading service on 26 lanes to next-day delivery from points in the Northeast and Southeast into the Midwest

LTL carrier USF Holland is upgrading service on 26 lanes to next-day delivery from points in the Northeast and Southeast into the Midwest. The move follows a similar upgrade on 13 lanes announced in November.

In addition to offering a reconfigured network with faster service, John O’Sullivan, president of USF Holland, said the Holland, MI-based carrier has redesigned its loading patterns for the direct transfer of goods, so shipments are handled less to improve damage-free delivery performance.

He added that nearly half of USF Holland’s 2,500 lanes now offer next-day service and nearly 70% of its customer’s shipments are now sent next day.

USF Holland is a subsidiary of YRC Regional Transportation – along with USF Reddaway, USF Glen Moore and New Penn – which is, in turn, a division of Overland Park, KS-based YRC Worldwide Inc.
