LOUISVILLE, KY. Continental Tire the Americas’ Commercial Vehicle Tire Division is kicking off its Untamed Innovation Tour 2 today at the Mid-America Trucking Show here.
The 2011 tour will visit NAFTA countries to visit trucking fleets, tire dealerships and stop at other major events. The next major scheduled stop is ExpoCam 2011, Canada’s national trucking show in Montreal, Quebec, beginning April 7. The tour features a 2010 International LoneStar tractor with 53-ft. trailer. Inside, there is a movie theater and tire information laboratory along with displays of Continental’s truck tire product offerings.
The theater shows a movie telling the story of Continental commercial tires. Also inside the trailer is the ContiTireFinder, a truck tire selector that allows the user to adjust their recommendations based on their specific vehicle type, tire size, application and driving conditions, and the ContiCostCalculator, which allows fleets to determine the total cost of ownership and fuel efficiency gained by using Continental tires.
On the outside, the truck is adorned with graphics and updated accessories, created in part by the Chrome Shop Mafia truck customization shop.
