Public Citizen today filed a response to the recent hours-of-service (HOS) ruling urging the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to revert back to the old HOS.

“The gist of the brief is basically that Congress should not impose harmful hours-of-service rules on truckers,” Luann Kanipe, Public Citizen spokeswoman told Fleet Owner. “We’re asking to revert to the old HOS until safer rules are written.”

At press time the response filed to the Court was not released. Fleet Owner will follow up when the document is made available.
