New Diesel Record at $2.122

Last week national diesel prices hit a new record for the sixth week in a row, going up another 3.2 cents to $2.212 per gallon. There are no indications of pending relief at the pump as record crude prices continue to make headlines.

The Rocky Mountain region posted the steepest price spike, up 5.9 cents to $2.278. The Gulf Coast has the cheapest prices and received the most marginal increase as well, up only 2.9 cents to $2.144. The most expensive region to fill up is once again California at $2.437.
