The Assn. of Diesel Specialists (ADS) will mark its 50th anniversary at its 2006 International Convention & Tradeshow, to be held Aug. 2-6 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Chicago, IL.
M. David Jones, Stanadyne Corp., will be the keynote speaker at the opening general session on Aug. 2. Other speakers will include Allen Schaeffer, of The Diesel Technology Forum, who will talk about what the next generation of clean diesel fuel and technology means to the diesel industry.
A “Get Acquainted Reception” on Wednesday is also part of this year’s convention program, which will include seminars by diesel manufacturers on the latest technology and equipment. Among manufacturers to be represented are Cummins, Delphi Diesel Aftermarket, Denso Sales California, Robert Bosch, and Stanadyne.
ADS is a non-profit, international trade association with over 750 members in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 56 other countries. Its primary focus is on the service and technology of diesel fuel injection, governor and turbocharger systems.
