Onboard computer (OBC) maker Cadec Corp. has announced a letter of intent to merge with Atlantis Data Systems (ADS), a provider of wireless satellite communications and web-based vehicle tracking services

Onboard computer (OBC) maker Cadec Corp. has announced a letter of intent to merge with Atlantis Data Systems (ADS), a provider of wireless satellite communications and web-based vehicle tracking services.

The resulting company will offer a full range of fleet management products ranging from basic automated vehicle locator (AVL) to advanced mobile information systems, according to Cadec.

Current Cadec systems provide electronic DOT logs, advanced routing, vehicle and driver monitoring, messaging, and other fleet management features. ADS offers vehicle tracking services around the world using the Inmarsat Satellite system.
