The OmniVision system features a color, touch-screen display and text-to-speech messaging, increasing safety and productivity by keeping the driver from needing to pull over to read messages, Qualcomm said.

"After examining several different mobile computing options and asking our drivers for input, the clear choice was Qualcomm's OmniVision system,” said Herb Schmidt, president of Con-way Truckload.

"We're proud that Con-way chose the OmniVision system,” said Norm Ellis, vp & gm of transportation and logistics for Qualcomm. "We've always regarded Con-way as a leading freight transportation company and the fact that their drivers had a voice in the decision to choose Qualcomm speaks volumes to us.”
