Cummins names new emissions group chief

Cummins Inc. has announced that Srikanth Padmanabhan, managing Director of Cummins Generator Technologies, will head Cummins Emission Solutions and has been named a vice president of the corporation. He will assume his new role on January 15 and will be based in Columbus, IN.

Cummins Emission Solutions is one of four businesses operating within the company’s Components Group. One of its fastest-growing businesses since its inception in 2002, according to Cummins, the business is expected to triple sales from 2006 to 2007 to approximately $450 million.

During his 17 years with Cummins, Padmanabhan, 43, has served in a variety of leadership positions, including country manager of Cummins Filtration Mexico and plant manager at the Cummins Filtration plant in Cookeville, TN. He also held a number of management roles within the Cummins Fuel Systems business in Columbus, IN.
