Diesel up 5.9 cents to $2.685

The national average price for a gallon of diesel rose 5.9 cents to $2.685 for the week ending March 11, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Prices increased in all regions, but increased the most in the Rocky Mountain region, which saw a 7.8-cent jump to $2.736. Prices held the steadiest in the most expensive region in which to fill up—California, rising only 0.2 cents to $2.899.

The lowest prices in the nation were seen in the Lower Atlantic region, in spite of a relatively big 7.5-cent jump to $2.643.
