FFE gets new CFO

Dallas, TX-based refrigerated carrier Frozen Food Express Industries (FFE) has named Gary Pruden senior vp & CFO, replacing CFO and board member F. Dixon McElwee, who resigned to pursue other interests.

Prior to joining FFE, Pruden worked for 13 years at LTL carrier USF Corp. – acquired by Yellow Roadway in May this year – in a variety of roles, most recently as COO at USF Dugan, a $260 million LTL regional carrier under the USF Corp. umbrella.

A certified public accountant, Pruden also served as USF Dugan’s CFO from 1996 to 2003, along with a stint as controller for USF Redstar.
