The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) has appointed Neil D. Schuster to be the group’s new president & CEO, effective October 15.
For the past 16 years, Schuster has served as executive director for the Washington, DC-based International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA). Prior to leading IBTTA he served in senior management positions with the American Automobile Manufacturers Association and the America Waterways Operators.
Schuster succeeds acting president David J. Hensing, who held the post of ITS America president after retiring from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), where Hensing served for 20 years. Hensing has held the interim ITS post since January 2001.
