ArvinMeritor Inc. has appointed Garrick Hu vp, vehicle dynamics advanced engineering, Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS). In his new position, Hu will strengthen and reinforce CVS' long-term growth objectives and ensure they are consistent with customer-driven products.
Hu will also evaluate mechanical and electronic technologies and processes necessary to remain competitive, as well as provide leadership for advanced product design and development.
"His wealth of experience and heavy truck expertise will support our efforts in creating a competitive advantage by leveraging the mechanical and electronic technologies across the CVS product lines," said Tom Gosnell, president, CVS.
Hu has more than 30 years of experience in research, new product development and advanced engineering at various heavy truck OEMs. His most recent position was vp, advanced engineering, for Volvo Global Trucks.
