The California Alliance for Advanced Transportation Systems (CAATS) is worried about the state of transportation security, and is adding that topic to the agenda for its mnnual meeting, which will be held in San Francisco November 26-28.
Harry Voccola, chairman of CAATS, said the meeting will provide a forum to discuss ways of beefing up air, ocean and ground transportation security, as well as how security issues will affect development of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) efforts.
"Security is very much in the minds of transportation professionals," said Voccola. "This event will be an excellent opportunity to inform and educate on what is being done and what can be done to ensure America's transportation integrity and security."
