Contract Freighters Inc. (CFI) has agreed to equip its entire fleet of 2,400 trucks with Aether MobileMax, Aether Systems Inc. said today. CFI said plans to complete the conversion to the fleet tracking and messaging system by the end of the year.
CFI's plans for MobileMax include the use of ADV Monitor, which provides real-time information on vehicle and driver performance, state-line crossings and vehicle fault codes.
In addition, CFI will use Aether's new Proximity Alert feature to automatically notify them of critical arrival and departure information.
MobileMax uses a multi-mode system that automatically switches between land-based and satellite communications without driver or dispatcher intervention.
