    Changing of the guard at Roadway

    Roadway Corp. chairman & CEO Michael Wickham said he plans to retire March 26, and will be replaced in that capacity by Roadway Express president James Staley. The company said Wickham, a 35-year veteran of Roadway, will continue as chairman while handing over the day-to-day operations of the company to Staley.     Roadway Corp. chairman & CEO Michael Wickham said he plans to retire March 26, and will be replaced in that capacity by Roadway Express president James Staley.

    The company said Wickham, a 35-year veteran of Roadway, will continue as chairman while handing over the day-to-day operations of the company to Staley.

    Robert Stull will take over Staley's duties as president of Roadway Express, which is the transportation holding company's largest unit. He is currently vice president, new venture commerce.

    The company also named Robert Obee vp, new venture commerce, and John Bronneck, executive vp, operations, for Roadway Express.
