Cummins unveils three products

Cummins Inc. has announced the introduction of three new engine products for the oil and gas industry – the KTA19GC driver for the natural gas compression market and two new frac rig ratings for the Cummins QST30 diesel engine.

The KTA19GC is a 420-hp, 19-liter displacement, rich-burn engine designed for well head, gathering and related gas compression applications. It is available in a standard or catalyst rating and also offers a shielded CSA ignition as an option.

The KTA19GC will be in limited production in the fourth quarter of this year after undergoing several thousand hours of performance and reliability testing.

The new 1350-hp and 1500-hp frac ratings for the QST30 engine are tailored specifically to meet the high power density and reliability requirements of frac applications. Available in the fourth quarter of 2002, the ratings extend the power reach of the QST30 platform.
