Detroit-Windsor Tunnel closing for tests

All traffic through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel will be stopped for two hours Sunday morning starting at 7:45 a.m. while an emergency response simulation is being conducted.

According to Neal Belitsky, director of operations for the Tunnel, that two-hour period is the point of lowest traffic volume.

The exercise is designed to provide live situation training for emergency response, refine advance preparation and joint international response and communications, he added.
