A new wireless dispatch service from AirIQ works with any existing web-enabled handheld device, including cell phones, PDAs and two-way pagers, according to the company.

The new handheld dispatch service joins the company’s existing on-board tracking and two-way communications system for trucks and remote cargo and location monitoring system for trailers.

All three are hosted applications that can be accessed by any PC with Internet service. They use Microbust technology for wireless data transmissions, sending data over the control channel of analog cellular networks.
