Eaton Vorad has delivered 200 Eaton Vehicle Information Management Systems (EVIMS) to TransAm Trucking Inc., a refrigerated truckload carrier based in Olathe, KS.
The company said EVIMS is an optional enhancement to the Vorad Collision Warning System that allows fleets to better monitor vehicle and driver performance.
According to TransAm vp and gm Russ McElliott, the carrier has an option to purchase an additional 300 units by the end of the year.
EVIMS, which uses Windows-based software, records and stores data, including hard braking events, time on brakes, following distances and fast approaches on slow-moving traffic.
