    FedEx Ground expands

    FedEx Ground opened 31 FedEx Home Delivery operations throughout the United States yesterday, expanding the service's geographic reach to almost 90% of the U.S. population. Twenty-nine of the new operations are being co-located with existing FedEx Ground facilities. Designed to meet the specific shipping needs of cataloguers and online retailers, FedEx Home Delivery offers such standard features as
    FedEx Ground opened 31 FedEx Home Delivery operations throughout the United States yesterday, expanding the service's geographic reach to almost 90% of the U.S. population. Twenty-nine of the new operations are being co-located with existing FedEx Ground facilities.

    Designed to meet the specific shipping needs of cataloguers and online retailers, FedEx Home Delivery offers such standard features as evening and weekend delivery.

    "Our shippers and their customers continue to respond enthusiastically to FedEx Home Delivery," said Daniel J. Sullivan, FedEx Ground president & CEO. "With a record-setting holiday shipping season behind us, we're ready to take on additional volume for residential customers around the country through the openings."
