The new service, integrated into the comprehensive architecture of the FreightMatrix solution, will allow access to the exhaustive matching services from within the FreightMatrix workflow.
Logistics services and small package/parcel shipments traditionally are treated separately within a company, which means companies do not have a consolidated financial picture of their heavy and small freight expenditures. The integration of Loop One into FreightMatrix now allows a common view of both.
"It is ultimately about the footprint and a single workflow. The marketplace with the largest footprint helps its clients achieve the most value," said Craig Clark, vp of FreightMatrix Americas. " As we shrink the time-to-value of our services, relationships with companies like Loop One become exceedingly important."
This consolidated capability covers both domestic and international shipments and uses most major expedited carriers. FreightMatrix users need no additional training to use the new small parcel functionality and benefits can accrue immediately as their business rules are enforced by the service.
Complex export rules and documentation requirements such as the Commercial Invoice, Shippers Export Declaration, Certificate of Origin and NAFTA Certificate of Origin are also automated.
FreightMatrix is a majority owned subsidiary of i2 Technologies Inc.
