G-Log names new CFO, announces changes

Transportation software maker G-Log has appointed a new CFO, updated its current product line and acquired a German software firm. Connecticut-based G-Log has named Steven F. Schiffman as its new CFO. He will be in charge of managing the company’s treasury, tax and financial planning functions. He previously served as CFO for a telecommunications company. Transportation software maker G-Log has appointed a new CFO, updated its current product line and acquired a German software firm.

Connecticut-based G-Log has named Steven F. Schiffman as its new CFO. He will be in charge of managing the company’s treasury, tax and financial planning functions. He previously served as CFO for a telecommunications company.

G-Log also unveiled Version 3.0 of its software, which provides logistics order management capabilities and supply chain management tools. The new version automatically captures information about shipments, notifies all involved parties and executes any needed actions surrounding shipment events.

The company has also acquired Move IT Logistics Information, based in Huerth, Germany, to form G-Log GmbH. Manfred Krueger, regional director, Central Europe and founder of Move IT, will lead G-Log GmbH.
