Kenworth taps Allison

Kenworth Truck Co. has announced it will offer Allison 2000 and 2400 Series automatic transmissions in its T-300 line of medium-duty trucks. Both models are fully automatic five-speed overdrive transmissions that come equipped with 32-bit microprocessors. According to KW, the Allison transmissions will be mated to the Caterpillar 3126 diesel, rated at 545 ft-lbs torque or below. A Spicer SPL100 driveline

According to KW, the Allison transmissions will be mated to the Caterpillar 3126 diesel, rated at 545 ft-lbs torque or below. A Spicer SPL100 driveline will also be part of the package.
